The final representation of heroism and the alliance system is this poster for "victory bonds." This photo signifies reasons to buy victory bonds. Other than the requirement in war, victory bonds were also a key factor for Canadians helping the British empire to support their alliance. Victory bonds were loans given to the Canadian government in order to help them pay for the war- equipment, food, supplies etc. This photo represents heroism by making yourself helpful and useful if you cannot enlist. Therefore, in this situation you would be helping your country out, making yourself heroic.
