A "B. J. Edwards" is named in the Notman photography studio payroll book that is now in the Museum archives. The man seen here seems to be that employee.

B. J. Edwards worked at the Notman photography studio in Montreal for seven months in 1871 and 1872. During that time, he was paid $58.40 every two weeks. We have no information on exactly what his job with the company was.
