What:It was decided that the badge "would be a blue silk ribbon onto which was stamped a star surrounded by rays". (Le Moniteur acadien, August 28, 1884).
Where:The badge and motto were adopted at the Acadian National Convention held in Miscouche, Prince Edward Island.
When:This badge was adopted in 1884; however, it was not widely used.
Who:Because its name was too similar to that of the Société mutuelle l'Assomption, the Société nationale l'Assomption changed its name in 1957 and again in 1992, when it finally became the Société nationale de l'Acadie.
