The Western Arctic is a sub-area of the vast Arctic geocultural area that extends over the northernmost regions of Canada, Alaska (USA), Siberia (Russia) and Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland). More precisely, the Western Arctic covers the coast and islands of the Arctic Ocean from Alaska's western limit to Amundsen Gulf in the east.
Inuit groups such as the Inuvialuit, Inupiat and Yup'ik live in this geocultural area.
