Eastern Arctic

The Eastern Arctic is a sub-area of the vast Arctic geocultural area that extends over the northernmost regions of Canada, Alaska (USA), Siberia (Russia) and Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland). More precisely, the Eastern Artic encompasses Nunavik, Nunatsiavut (Labrador) and the eastern half of Qikiqtaaluk (Baffin Island), as well as Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland).

Inuit groups such as the Nunatsiarmiut, Nunavimiut and Kalaallit live in this geocultural area.
