Notman's Studio and the Railways in the 19th and 20th centuries

This set of approximately 120 images is made up of photographs of railways taken by various photographers linked to the Notman studio, in particular William Notman and his son William MacFarlane Notman. Some of the photographs were commissioned by railway companies, notably, the Grand Trunk Railway and the Canadian Pacific Railway.
