Community Life of Irish Montrealers in the 19th and 20th Centuries

This collection of some 50 images provides an overview of the community life of Montrealers of Irish origin in the 19th and 20th centuries. This extremely diverse community was far from presenting a united front. A number of different religious and cultural groups clashed at various times but would nevertheless get together to celebrate their common roots.
