Henderson, Alexander

Alexander Henderson came to Montreal from Scotland in 1855. He opened a photographic studio in 1866. He was primarily a landscape photographer, who travelled widely throughout the province of Quebec. In 1872, he began a three-year project to document the construction of the Intercolonial Railway, and eventually he became manager of the photography department of Canadian Pacific Railway.
