A Portrait of my Canada - Lester B. Pearson School Board
A Portrait of My Canada is an innovative project in collaboration with the McCord Museum. Over the past school year, thirty secondary four students from Lester B. Pearson School Board have been working on a historical art piece that represents a particular theme in history derived from their History and Citizenship course.
The students had the opportunity to receive personalized training from a historical archivist and a photography curator. They have also had the opportunity to explore the history and architecture of their city. Using the historical method, the students have researched in the McCord archives and through the use of technology made available they have created their own representation of everything they have learned this year.
