In 1914 the first world war began. Great Britain was involved and so Canada would soon follow. Canadians would volunteer in the thousands, and the Canadian Army would participate in many major battles. This presentation documents Canada's involvement in the war, the effect it had on Canada and the world, and will hopefully answer the questions
-Why did people line up to volunteer to go to a war that seemed to have little to do with them?
-Why were people anxious to send their sons(and some of their daughters) to war?
