Keys to History
One of the main tourist destinations in the Rockies was the Banff Springs Hotel, built by Canadian Pacific and opened to the public in 1888. This elegant château-style hotel would inspire the architecture for other CP hotels. The magnificence of the landscape and the beneficial properties of the hot springs in the region made it a world-renown holiday resort.
