Keys to History
At the time this composite was made the Grand Trunk Railway operated a line extending form Sarnia, Ontario through Toronto and Montreal to Portland, Maine. Built in the 1850s and crossing the St. Lawrence on the Victoria Bridge, the Grand Trunk was Canada's first trunk-line railway. The site of the photograph and the names of the men in the two composites are unknown.
