Description

The Livernois photography studio in Quebec City, founded by Jules-Isaïe Benoît (1830-1865), was in operation for more than a century, a rare feat indeed for a photography studio. The Livernois studio specialized in documenting the life and people of Quebec City and the surrounding area, as this photograph illustrates. It shows a Victorian family on vacation in Malbaie (Murray Bay).
