Keys to History

P.S. Ross came to Montreal from Scotland in 1853 and set up as an accountant and ship-chandler. His company prospered as a family business for a hundred years until his descendants merged it in 1958 with the company of George A. Touche to form Touche Ross, Canada. This Ross home, depicted here, stood at the corner of Cathcart and University Streets.
