Keys to History

This composite depicts Thomas MacDuff and his wife Katherine with their two sons, four daughters, two sons-in-law and four grandchildren. When Thomas MacDuff emigrated from Scotland he bought control of Gilmour Lumber Company's Montreal branch. The small boy with the cricket bat, William Alexander Murray, whose other grandfather was the founder of the Beaver Line of steam ships, would grow up to a marine engine supply business.
